The iris is a garden variety of the Iris ensata. Flower bloom about June, and there are white, peach, purple, blue, yellow a lot.   There are 5,000 kinds including combinations.
 A custom to refer an iris to "Iris" as a generic name of irises is frequent.   On the other hand, it may refer it to "Sweet flag", but a sweet flag used for sweet-flag baths is a plant of the another kind classified in sweet flag department (old satoimo department).
